Our Community

The College is proud is of its history. Our school played an important role in the growth and development of the city of Liverpool and in bringing educational opportunity and excellence to the city.

Our foundation inspired and supported the creation of several fine schools including Liverpool Collegiate, and Huyton College. The College, founded in 1840, celebrates its founders and benefactors annually on Founders Day with a service in the Cathedral.

OLs are found in every part of the globe and in every walk of life. The OL Society is an active organisation which brings our alumni and alumnae together and continues to support the school. We are proud of our alumni and alumnae who have contributed in every area of national life from sports to the arts to the law, the Church, to business and to politics.

We have an absolute determination and belief that the greatest days of the College are ahead of us. We are pursuing a clear vision for the College which will ensure that future generations will benefit from transformational and modern education of the whole person: intellectual, moral, spiritual, artistic, and physical. The values which inspired our foundation still inspire us today.
