Article Index

Parents have the right to appeal against an admission authority's decision refusing their child admission to a school under section 94(I)(b) and (2) of the 1998 Act.  If you wish to submit an appeal you should contact Sally Loveridge (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or 0151 724 1611 to request a form. You should submit this form by the stated closing date clearly setting out the reasons for your appeal.  You may include any letters, correspondence, written reports or documents that support your case. Prior to your appeal hearing you will receive a written statement from Liverpool College advising you how the admissions policy was applied in your case, and a general statement explaining the implications for the school of admitting pupils over roll.  At this stage we can confirm that Liverpool College received 1418 applications for the 145 places in Year 7 and 570 applications for 84 places in Reception. If you have any questions about the admission policy or how places are allocated please contact Sally Loveridge and she will be happy to advise you.  The Government also offer advice on their website : https://www.gov.uk/schools-admissions/appealing-a-schools-decision.
