Hockey Teams Unbeaten in Manchester

On Saturday, three Liverpool College Hockey teams boarded an early morning coach for the trip to St Bede's College Manchester. As the pupils and staff arrived, the sun was shining and the stage was set for three entertaining matches. First up were the U16's which fielded many U14 players and the match didn't disappoint. Straight from the start, the College didn't let their young age get in the way of their opponents, taking the battle to them, and despite twice taking the lead through Libby H and Emily J and dominating from long periods, the College had to settle for an entertaining 2-2 draw.

There is a lot of talk amongst teaching and coaching staff at LC about how good the U14 team has been this academic year, and this talk is the same for the U13 team and after two wins already under their belt, the U13's convincingly won again, this time 6-0 with Annabel A and Mia P in dominant form at the front and Reese M providing much steeliness to the backline.

Finally it was the turn of the U12's and they didn't disappoint securing their first win of the academic year through second half goals from Amy P and a double from Christina W. The U12's were in such dominant form that goalkeeper Hannah S didn't have to make a save throughout the entire match.
