Creative Arts Masterclass

Creative students participated in a superb event last week when award winning body artist, Rebecca Fuller, came into the school to deliver a talk, and even a practical demonstration.

Rebecca started her career in 'Events', quickly progressing to a Senior Events Manager in charge of organizing festivals and corporate events in America. After moving to England, Rebecca became a stay at home mum. After she began helping out at PTA events face painting, Rebecca explained how she decided this creative profession would be one worth pursuing. Through practising regularly at home, volunteering to support local events and enrolling in training courses, Rebecca soon began to develop her skills. Five years later, Rebecca began competing in Regional, and then National competitions. Rebecca also became involved in Body Art Exhibitions and competitions and quickly developed into an award winning artist. This year, Rebecca has been selected to represent the UK in the World Body Art Championships 2020.

What was incredibly inspirational about Rebecca's talk was her message that she has achieved such a superb standard in her profession through continual practice, volunteering her services to enable her to learn from more established artists, team work and through sheer passion for the creative arts. Rebecca also works free of charge for children's charities including 'Supershoes'. Her passion, dedication and enthusiasm was truly inspirational and showed how it is possible to combine creativity with ambition to become an award winning artist. We wish Rebecca every success in the World Championships this year.
