The Gladstone Scholars Programme

The Gladstone Scholars programme provides leadership education and leadership opportunities to interested Sixth Formers.

Named after William Ewart Gladstone who was involved substantially in establishing the mission and the purpose of Liverpool College, Gladstone Scholars are selected by the school for their leadership potential after an application process at the end of Year 12. They receive leadership training throughout Year 13 including a pilgrimage to the Gladstone Library in Hawarden. Scholars pursue the Level 3 Qualification of the Institute of Leadership and Management. In their role as prefects, scholars support house mentors and house activities, act as ambassadors for the school, direct and lead charitable efforts in the house system. The programme is funded through a generous donation by the Liverpool College Foundation.
