A Level Results 2026

We are delighted with the excellent A-Level results awarded to the class of 2026 today and are pleased that their hard work has been rewarded by some excellent results across the College. The class of 2026 have certainly maintained the high standards that we have become accustomed to at the College, securing our second highest ever set of A’Level results.

Kevin H led the way with an impressive three A*s and an A, closely followed by Lakshaya B and Katie R with three A*s each.  Lena A and Maisie-Merle H followed close behind with two A*s and an A,  Avah O attained an excellent A*,A and D* and both Daniel C and Emma W attained A*/A/A.

Our Head Girl, Maisie-Merle H topped the value-added list with a score of over +1.5 and an average grade of A*-.  Congratulations to the 10 students (Masie-Merle H, Kevin H, Lena A, Mohammed G, Jacky C, Phoebe H, Liam H, Jamie W, Sadie B, Diwas K) who all achieved impressive value-added scores of over +1.0.

Prior to UCAS opening this morning we predicted that around 80% of the students applying to UCAS this year would secure their choice of university and we look forward to this figure increasing over the course of the day and week ahead.

In terms of the overall A Level cohort, 26% of the grades were awarded A/A*, 56% a B or above and 81% a C or above. Although these headline attainment figures are not quite attaining the levels of last summer’s outstanding results, they are higher at this stage than in previous years and well above predicted national and Liverpool figures and our average grade remains a pleasing B-.  Most significantly, however, is that early indications show that our value added at KS5 has once again improved on last year’s highest ever figure. This is an indication that this cohort outperformed previous cohorts in terms of expected grades based on their prior attainment.  Subjects that performed particularly well this year are DT, Spanish, Media, History and Biology, with Classics also making a pleasing improvement on last year’s results and Mathematics improving on last year’s results in terms of value added.  Our vocational BTEC results also once again performed very well with an overall value-added score of +0.1 with BTEC Sport leading the way with a value-added score of +0.18.

In terms of groups of students, we are delighted with the results of our more vulnerable students, with our SEN value added outcomes exceeding last year’s figures and the gender gap between girls and boys narrowing significantly as a result of our girls’ value added showing a marked improvement on previous years, a key focus for the College this academic year.

Congratulations to all our students for their very well-earned A Level results.
