About our Boarding Programme

Liverpool College is a boarding school. Pupils are able to board weekly or full boarding from Year 7 through Year 13 from September 2021.

Our self-contained boarding house is located on our secure and leafy campus. It provides completely refurbished accommodation for up to 21 boarders.

Boarders benefit from a diverse and vibrant school rated outstanding in all areas, including all areas of boarding provision. A dedicated staff ensures they are supported and encouraged to participate fully and successfully in the academic life of the school and the daily programme of activities, sports, and academic support provided to all boarding and day pupils. Our boarders receive individual attention and support from staff entirely focused on them and their boarding needs.

Our boarders have launched themselves from the College into successful matriculation at top universities and, degree apprenticeships. Boarding at he College is scaled to ensure a family atmosphere and lots of support for each pupil and student, while our large, diverse and vibrant school and its structured after-school programmes gives boarders access to what Ofsted describes as a “staggering wealth of extra-curricular activities”.

Our boarding house was completely refurbished and modernized in 2020. Beechlands is a beautiful Victorian property with excellent room size and communal spaces set in substantial grounds on the campus. It is now fitted with all modern conveniences. Pupils stay in quadruple, triple, double, or single rooms depending on their age and needs.

Weekly Boarding/Full Boarders

Weekly boarders board from Sunday evening or Monday morning to Friday afternoon during term time.

Full boarders are able to board with us during the week as well as the weekends of term time. During the weekend they are able to participate in the activities organized for them.

Admissions:

Admission to Boarding in Years 7-11 is not academically selective. Any pupil may apply and will be considered for a boarding place. Our admissions process includes a suitability for boarding assessment. Places for those suitable to board will be considered for admission in accordance with the oversubscription criteria as set out in our admissions policy which can be found here.

Fees 2020-21:

Weekly Boarding £10, 950 per annum
Full Boarding £12, 950 per annum
Single Room Sixth Form (full boarders only) £13, 950 per annum
