Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 Captains lead by example in an afternoon of football versus St Hilda's

On Wednesday, both the Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 football teams were in action versus nearby St Hilda's. A dry, but chilly afternoon ensured the matches took place on a good playing surface. On pitch 3 goals were flying in each end as St Hilda's U12s took a 2-1 lead. On pitch 1, it was a much tighter affair as shots on target were kept to a minimum and it was just before half time that the deadlock was finally broke with a strike from College captain Erdis R. The pattern of play stayed pretty much the same in the U13s match and the match ended 1-0. The U12s were still 2-1 down late in the game when captain Isaac O'B stepped up to drill the ball home from a set piece to ensure an equal share of the spoils - 2-2.
