Chapter 8 Football Team beat St Edwards College in Titanic Battle
Last Thursday, St Edwards College made the short trip to play the Chapter 8 football team. The match was played on a very sunny afternoon and it turned out to be a belter! St Edwards team was full of talented individuals and put on a fighting display, determined to beat our Chapter 8 team. After an entertaining goalless first half, the second half was full of goals and it was St Edwards who took the lead from a corner. Back came the home team and a quick turn outside the penalty area from captain Erdis R created space to fire home from the tightest of angles. The second shortly followed when Erdis R fed Marco B from outside the area and he thumped the ball into the top corner. It was at this stage the home team began to take complete domination and Khalil M broke free from the left hand side, cut in and fired home number 3. This was a huge test for the home team and they passed with flying colours.
